BILL · 2009–10 SESSION · LATEST VERSION SSB 5779

SB 5779: School health & safety rules

Regarding adoption of school environmental health and safety rules.

Summary

  • In the intent section, the Legislature commends the Board for its commitment to making schools safe and healthy for all children. While the Legislature is also committed to the health and safety of Washington's children, it recognizes that it cannot practically implement the Board's proposed school environmental health and safety rules without an extended phase-in period due to budget constraints.
