Summary

  • Establishes the validity of blood and breath analyses conducted by laboratories certified or accredited pursuant to specified international standards.
  • Allows the use of a private laboratory outside the state when certain conditions related to trial procedure are met.
  • Requires the Washington State Patrol to report on implementation of the use of private labs by October 1, 2031.
