Increasing regulatory oversight of continuing care retirement communities.

Summary

  • Requires applicants for registration as a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) that offers life care contracts to submit an actuarial analysis as part of its application materials with every other renewal application.
  • Directs the Office of the Insurance Commissioner to review the actuarial analyses of applicants for registration as a CCRC to determine whether the applicant's actuarial balance is satisfactory.
