HB 2436: Oil tanker escort

Concerning requirements of oil tankers operating in restricted waters.

Summary

  • Requires tugs used to escort oil tankers of between 40,000 and 125,000 deadweight tons to have an aggregate shaft horsepower of the greater of 3,000 deadweight tons or 5 percent of the deadweight tonnage of the escorted oil tanker.
