Concerning reporting requirements and law enforcement responses for incidents at private detention facilities.

Summary

  • Requires a private detention facility to report certain types of incidents to the Department of Health (DOH) and the local law enforcement agency with primary jurisdiction in the area the facility is located in.
  • Creates an annual reporting requirement beginning November 1, 2026, for each law enforcement agency with a private detention facility in its jurisdiction to provide certain information about incidents at or involving the private detention facility to DOH.
