Strengthening health care market standards.

Summary

  • Expands the scope of transactions that qualify as a material change triggering the requirement for 60-day written notice to the Attorney General for certain health care market transactions.
  • Pauses material change transactions for 30 days after a request from the Attorney General for additional information relating to the transaction.
  • Requires parties to a material change transaction to provide notice to the Attorney General within 30 days after completing a transaction.
  • Requires parties filing a written notice to pay a filing fee based on the anticipated value of the transaction.
  • Requires the Attorney General to notify the Secretary of State when an entity involved in a material change transaction is a nonprofit corporation.
