Summary
- Enacts the Framework for Agriculturally Resilient Markets Act.
- Requires convening of agencies to develop a strategy to expand institutional purchasing of Washington-grown food.
- Provides a temporary exemption for packaging used to store perishable agricultural products from producer responsibility requirements.
- Removes an expiration date from an agricultural fuel exemption in the Climate Commitment Act (CCA), and exempts emissions related to lubricants from the CCA.
- Adds an agricultural production or food storage exemption to hydrofluorocarbon and emissions reduction requirements.
- Adds an exception to notice requirements for mass layoffs affecting agricultural employees or dairy employees.
