Summary

  • Requires substance use disorder treatment services at the Department of Corrections (DOC) to be provided by persons licensed by the state, instead of requiring the services to be licensed by the Department of Health (DOH).
  • Requires DOC and DOH to jointly establish and adopt standards for behavioral services provided in correctional facilities.
  • Requires DOH to conduct annual inspections to determine compliance and requires DOC to reimburse DOH for the cost of inspections and technical assistance.
