SB 5833: Pets in unattended vehicles

Allowing pets in unattended motor vehicles under certain circumstances.

Summary

  • Allows a person driving or in charge of a motor vehicle to leave it standing unattended for up to 30 minutes with the engine running if reasonably necessary for the purpose of running the vehicle's air conditioning or heat for a pet in the vehicle.
