Reviewing and discontinuing low-enrollment undergraduate programs at public baccalaureate institutions.

Summary

  • Requires the governing boards of the state and regional universities (boards) to compile an annual list of undergraduate degree programs producing a five-year average of fewer than ten graduates per academic year (low enrollment list), and, in certain cases, to recommend those programs be discontinued.
  • Directs the boards to report specified information to the Legislature when an undergraduate degree program is on a low-enrollment list for three consecutive years.
