SB 5943: Use of school impact fees
Concerning the use of school impact fees.
Summary
- Allows expiring impact fees to be used to modernize school facilities to comply with state and federal laws regarding student safety, campus security, emergency response, and energy efficiency standards.
- Allows school districts in binding conditions or under enhanced financial oversight to use up to 25 percent of impact fees for district operations and maintenance.
