Preventing an oversupply of cannabis.

Summary

  • Requires tier two and tier three cannabis producers, at the time of license renewal, to meet minimum gross sales thresholds based on sales reported to the Department of Revenue.
  • Converts a tier two or tier three cannabis producer license to a lower tier at renewal if the producer does not meet the applicable revenue threshold, with corresponding reductions in the maximum allowable production area.
  • Allows the Liquor and Cannabis Board, in its discretion, to grant a one-year exemption from the revenue threshold and tier conversion requirements when extenuating circumstances exist.
