HB 1135: Public art acquisition

Exempting department of corrections' incarceration, treatment, and rehabilitation facilities and department of social and health services' juvenile rehabilitation facilities from the one-half percent for art requirement for public facilities.

Summary

  • State correctional and juvenile rehabilitation facilities and school construction are exempted from the requirement that one half of 1 percent of new construction be set aside for art. Art acquired by the commission must be created by a Washington State artist.
