Summary

  • Allows Whatcom County to construct, purchase, operate, and maintain passenger-only or auto ferries.
  • Makes ad valorem property tax increases greater than 10 cents per $1,000 of assessed value subject to a vote of the people in counties with a population less than 1,500,000 people.
  • Requires county ferry districts to establish ferry district advisory committees.
