SB 5681: DDA employment services age

Concerning the age at which clients of the home and community living administration may receive employment and community inclusion services.

Summary

  • Allows clients of the Home and Community Living Administration of the Department of Social and Health Services to begin receiving employment and community inclusion services beginning at the age of 20.
  • Provides that the employment service hours for clients must be determined by the assistance needed to reach employment outcomes and may not equal the amount of client time spent working or in employment-related activities.
