SB 5869: Construction hazards notice

Concerning notice requirements of identified hazards at construction worksites.

Summary

  • Removes the June 30, 2026, expiration of the requirement that the Department of Labor and Industries must notify the employer or owner when it identifies certain hazards during inspections of residential building construction worksites.
  • Expands the worksites the employer notification requirement applies to from only residential building construction worksites to both residential and non-residential building construction worksites.
