SB 6205: Grant distribution
Increasing accountability for the distribution of grants for economically disadvantaged people.
Summary
- Prohibits an officer or family member of an officer from directly or indirectly having a beneficial interest in, or receive any compensation, gratuity, or reward in connection with, a grant distributed under the Community Reinvestment Account (Account), Affordable Housing Program or Covenant Homeownership Program.
- Updates how the Department of Commerce (Commerce) must prioritize funding from the Account and Affordable Housing Program.
- Requires Commerce evaluate the distribution of loans or grants made under the Account or Affordable Housing Program biannually.
